Be the first to spot a Greater Sandhill crane the Yampa Valley

The Colorado Crane Conservation Coalition announces the launch of the 2025 1st Crane Sighting Contest on March 1.
- Document a sighting with a photo or video and send it to: info@coloradocranes.org between now and March 31.
- Be sure to include name and mailing address, date, time and location of the sighting.
In addition to the Grand Prize (given to the person who spots and documents the very first crane seen in the Yampa Valley), the First Crane Sighting Contest awards a prize to each individual with the photo or video of the earliest sighting in:
- West Routt
- North Routt
- South Routt
- Steamboat Springs
- Craig
- West Moffat
