An inconvenience may be experienced in Craig, Hayden and Steamboat Springs the next two weeks as four Kum and Go stores will be closed for the purpose of “re-branding.”

Kum and Go, a subsidiary of the Des Moines, Iowa-based Krause Group, was sold to Maverik, a Salt Lake City-based convenience store chain in August 2023. Maverik plans to rebrand all of its stores by the end of 2025.

According to the Maverik website, the Hayden Kum and Go closed Monday and will reopen July 23.

In Craig, closures will be somewhat staggered. The 700 Victory Way store will close July 16 and reopen July 23. At its 895 Yampa Ave. location, the store will close July 17 and reopen on July 23. The 1302 W. Victory Way location will close July 21 and open for business July 30.

Steamboat Springs is host to two Kum and Go stores. The Angler’s Bay location was rebranded in June while the 2032 Curve Plaza store will close July 22-30.

Patrons who are members of the Kum and Go Rewards program are advised to use accumulated points prior to the store closures as they will not roll over to the Maverik stores.
